The SxS Refrigerator Water Inlet Valve allows water to enter the refrigerator’s water dispenser and ice maker. The package includes the new inlet water valve, instructions, ¼" tubing, and a plastic ¼" coupler. If water isn't entering the ice maker and dispenser in your appliance, replacing this part may alleviate the issue. The new part's wire connections are on the back of the unit and the valve includes a "push to lock" fitting that doesn't require a nut to attach the tubing. In order for the water line to lock into place, you need to remove the old-style compression fittings that surround the water line and trim.
