Description

This Top Load Washer Water Inlet Valve and Dispenser Assembly are located at the rear of the appliance and allows hot and cold water to fill in the washer during the cleaning cycle. If your washer isn’t receiving cold or hot water, one of the solenoids in the appliance’s current valve may have failed. This part may also be needed if you find that your washer is filling slowly, not filling at all or leaking cold or hot water onto the floor. Tape the lid of your washer before tilting the machine back to access the part so the lid doesn't spring up. Replacing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the washing machine and novice repair experience. You must unplug the washing machine or shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance before installing this part. Also make sure you turn off your hot and cold water supplies. Recommended Item: Consider replacing the hot and cold Fill Hoses (item 8212487RP) at the same time as this repair. Helpful Tip: We also recommend using affresh® Washing Machine Cleaner* (item W10501250) once a month to help reduce odor-causing residue that can build up in your washing machine's drain without proper care. *affresh® brand products are owned and distributed by Whirlpool Corporation.
