The SxS Refrigerator Water Inlet Valve allows water to enter the refrigerator’s water dispenser and ice maker. The package includes (1) an inlet water valve, (2) screws, (1) a bracket, and installation instructions. If one of the solenoids in the original unit is bad, it will prevent water from entering the ice maker and dispenser. If the ice maker of your appliance stops making ice, no water flows from the dispenser or it flows constantly, or if you notice water at the bottom of the fresh food compartment, the water inlet valve could malfunction and need to be replaced. This high-quality and durable replacement part is easy to install with basic hand tools like a multi-screwdriver, some disassembly of the refrigerator, and intermediate repair experience.
