Whirlpool 12002193 Genuine OEM SxS Refrigerator Water Inlet Valve

This SxS Refrigerator Water Inlet Valve is a high-quality replacement part that allows water to enter the refrigerator's water dispenser and ice maker. The package includes a new water valve, an instruction manual, ¼" tubing, and a plastic union. To access this part, remove the cardboard back from the bottom of the refrigerator and disconnect the copper tubing. Place a towel down to catch any dripping water. Please note that the old valve has screw-on compression fittings, whereas the new valve has press-and-lock fittings. Replacing this part will require basic hand tools, such as a multi-screwdriver, a 1/2" wrench, and a nut driver. It also requires some disassembly of the refrigerator and a novice level of repair experience. Before installing this part, remember to unplug the appliance or shut off the house circuit breaker to ensure safety.
