Description

The Top Load Washer Transmission contains the gearbox for your direct-drive washing machine. This part is designed to be used with select Maytag® washing machines; check to see if your model number is compatible. We strongly recommend that you hire a qualified technician to safely install this part. Replacing this part will require advanced mechanical training. Specialized tools, complex testing and appliance calibration may be required. Helpful Tips: The drive Motor Coupling (item 285753A) can wear out significantly over time; also consider replacing the drive coupler while you have the washer apart. We also recommend using affresh® Washing Machine Cleaner Tablets* (item W10135699) once a month to help reduce odor-causing residue that can build up in your washing machine's drain without proper care. *affresh® brand products are owned and distributed by Whirlpool Corporation.
