Description

This Top Load Washer Clutch Assembly drives the drum during the spin portion of the wash cycle. If your clothes are still soaked after spinning, replacing this part may resolve the issue. When replacing this part, consider using Whirlpool's high-quality and easy-to-install replacement assembly. This kit includes (1) clutch assembly, (1) brake cam driver, (2) springs, (1) retaining ring, (1) bearing, and installation instructions. Note that the blue spring should be used in large-capacity washers, while the black spring is for use in compact washing machines. Replacing this part will require basic hand tools, such as a multi-screwdriver and needle-nose pliers, some disassembly of the washer, and novice repair experience. Before installing this part, remember to unplug the appliance or shut off the house circuit breaker to ensure safety. Also, make sure to turn off the hot and cold water supplies.
