The Refrigerator Damper Control Assembly regulates the cold air flow from the freezer compartment into the main refrigerator compartment inside the appliance. This part is designed to be used with select major refrigerator brands, including Whirlpool®, KitchenAid®, Amana®, and Maytag®; check to see if your model number is compatible. Replacing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the refrigerator and novice repair experience. You must unplug the refrigerator or shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance before installing this part. Also turn off the refrigerator's water supply before you begin.
