Description

This Dryer High Limit Thermostat protects your dryer from overheating by cutting off power if the dryer gets too hot. If the dryer won't heat, the high-limit thermostat may have blown. The manufacturer has updated this high-quality and easy-to-install replacement part. The new thermostat may differ in appearance but will serve the same function. The part is located behind the front access panel of the dryer. When replacing it, make note of the position of the colored wires when disconnecting. Both the thermostat and fuse can be tested to determine if either is defective. Note that a multimeter (item 964740) can be used to test for continuity and determine if the thermostat is defective and requires replacement. Installing this part will require basic hand tools such as a multi-screwdriver, some disassembly of the dryer, and novice repair experience. Before installing this part, remember to unplug the appliance or shut off the house circuit breaker to ensure safety.
