Description

This Refrigerator Door Switch is a simple mechanism that helps turn the light in your appliance on and off. If the door of your appliance is open the light should be on, and if the door is closed the light should be off. Your appliance door is opened and closed frequently, meaning the mechanism may wear out over time. It is not uncommon that this part will need to be replaced. Easy to install with basic hand tools like a putty knife, some disassembly of the refrigerator, and novice repair experience. Use the putty knife to release the mounting tab and remove the faulty rocker switch. To install the new one, simply attach the wires and snap them into place in the liner of your refrigerator or freezer. You must unplug the appliance or shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance before installing this part.
