Description

The Door Gasket is a grey rubber seal on the inner door panel of your freezer that creates a seal around the door to prevent warm air from entering the freezer compartment. To remove any creases or wrinkles from this new, easy-to-install gasket, place it in the sun or hot water for a few minutes. Make sure to safely store any food that could deteriorate while the door is open during this repair. To remove the old seal, first, remove the screws holding the freezer door in place, and then lay it on a flat surface. Use a flat-blade screwdriver to pry out the old seal from the door. If the gasket doesn't lie flat when your refrigerator door is closed after installation, you can carefully use a heat gun to mold it, but be cautious not to melt it. Replacing this part will require basic hand tools, such as a multi-screwdriver and a heat gun, some disassembly of the refrigerator, and novice repair experience. Before installing this high-quality part, remember to unplug the appliance or shut off the house circuit breaker to ensure safety.
