Description

The SxS Refrigerator Door Gasket, White, is a new rubber door seal that keeps the outside air out of your refrigerator. If your refrigerator’s door doesn't close properly or you can feel cold air escaping the appliance, replacing the rubber gasket may alleviate these issues. Note that door seal gaskets may also compress over time, causing the refrigerator to work harder to maintain a constant, cool temperature. Frost may accumulate inside the appliance as a result of this issue. Replacing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the refrigerator and novice repair experience. You must unplug the refrigerator or shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance before installing this part. You must also turn off the water supply to the refrigerator to complete this installation. Helpful Tip: The new gasket may arrive with some dents and creases; placing the part in the sun or soaking it in warm water will help to soften the rubber.
