The Washer Drain Pump is what drains the waste water out of your washing machine. It also houses a large filter which can be cleaned with Affresh® Washing Machine Cleaner Tablets once a month. This part is designed to be used with select Whirlpool®, Kenmore® and Maytag® washers; check to see if your model number is compatible. Replacing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the washer and novice repair experience. You must unplug the washing machine or shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance before installing this part. Also make sure you turn off the hot and cold water supplies.
