Description

The SxS Refrigerator Evaporator Fan Motor circulates the cold air from the freezer into the fresh food compartment of the refrigerator for sufficient cooling. This part features an incorporated wire harness. When the evaporator fan fails, it often generates a lot of noise in the freezer area. In order to start the repair, you'll need to remove the ice bucket, all racks, rails and mounting clips if applicable from the freezer in order to access the back panel of the appliance. Installing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the refrigerator and novice repair experience. You must unplug the refrigerator or shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance before installing this part. Helpful Tip: Don’t forget to transfer the two rubber grommets over from the old motor to the new for mounting.
