This Front Load Washer Door Lock Latch Assembly secures the washer door shut during operation. Once the washing machine door is closed, the washer can begin operating. If the door lock is defective or has shorted out, the washer door will not latch properly. When this happens, replacing this part may alleviate the issue. Make sure that when wiring the new assembly, you insert the mounting tabs into their appropriate slots. Replacing the part will require basic hand tools, such as a multi-screwdriver and a torque 20 screwdriver, some disassembly of the washer, and novice repair experience.
