Whirlpool WP37001308 Genuine OEM Gas Dryer Igniter

The Gas Dryer Igniter lights the gas in your dryer. If your dryer is no longer supplying heat, this part may be damaged or cracked and might need replacement. When replacing this part, consider using Whirlpool's high-quality and durable gas dryer igniter. To access the part, lift the top of the dryer by releasing the spring clips from the top panel with a putty knife. Then, remove the door switch wires and the screws to release the front panel. Next, simply loosen the screw that holds the igniter to remove it. Please note that the bracket is no longer included with this part. If your original igniter was round, also order a bracket (item 37001309). Replacing this assembly will require basic hand tools such as a multi-screwdriver, a putty knife, and a 5/16" wrench. It also requires some disassembly of the dryer and novice repair experience. Before installing this part, remember to unplug the dryer or shut off the house circuit breaker to ensure safety. Important Note: You should not touch the gray part of the igniter; only handle the igniter by its white plastic covering.
