Description

The Gas Dryer Igniter Kit is a flat-style igniter assembly that can be used to replace both round and flat igniters in your appliance. This kit includes (1) ignitor assembly, (1) bracket, (2) wire nuts, and (1) mounting screw. If the dryer does not heat or heats intermittently, replacing this part may resolve these issues. Please note that this igniter is fragile, and you should avoid touching the gray section of the part; only handle the igniter by its white plastic covering. Replacing this part will require basic hand tools such as a multi-screwdriver and a wrench, some disassembly of the appliance, and novice repair experience. Before installing this part, remember to unplug the appliance or shut off the house circuit breaker to ensure safety. Helpful tip: While the dryer is disassembled, consider replacing the gas valve coils (item 279834) as well.
