The Top Load Washer Washplate turns back and forth at the bottom of the spin basket, circulating the wash load through the water. This washplate is located at the bottom of your washer's tub. To access this part, open the washer lid and remove the cap of the plate using a flat-head screwdriver. Then, use a ratchet to loosen the bolt inside the plate so you can remove the old part. This new, easy-to-install washplate does not come with the metal shield, but you can transfer it from your old washplate. Installing this high-quality part will require basic hand tools such as a multi-crewdriver, a ratchet with an extension, and a 7/16" socket. It also requires a minor disassembly of the washing machine and some novice repair experience.
