This Top Load Washer Agitator Repair Kit is designed for use with selected compatible washing machines. If the top part of the agitator is not moving properly in your appliance but the bottom still functions correctly, replacing this part may alleviate the issue. This high-quality repair kit includes (4) agitator dogs, (1) medium-length cam, (1) cap seal, (1) washer for the agitator bolt, and (1) thrust washer. We recommend using a small amount of grease (item 350849) with this kit if no grease is present on the old thrust washer. Replacing this part will require basic hand tools such as a flat-blade screwdriver and a 7/16 in. socket with a long extension. It also involves some disassembly of the washer and requires novice repair experience. Before installing this part, remember to unplug the appliance or shut off the house circuit breaker to ensure safety. Also, make sure to turn off the hot and cold water supplies. Recommended Item: Consider replacing the bolt (item 539455) and getting a spare set of dog ears (item 3109). The bolt can get corroded, and the dog ears wear out over time.
