French Door Refrigerator Ice Maker Assembly

The French Door Refrigerator Ice Maker Assembly receives water from the water inlet, holds the water in the ice mold until it freezes and then automatically ejects the ice and refills again until the ice storage bin is filled. This is a modular style assembly. If the coating of your appliance’s current ice maker is flaking off, or if components inside the assembly are no longer functioning, replacing the ice maker assembly may alleviate these issues. Installing the part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the refrigerator and novice repair experience. You must unplug the refrigerator or shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance before installing this part. Note that this assembly does not include a bail arm; remove the bail arm from the existing ice maker to reuse with the new part.
