Description

This Top Load Washer Suspension Spring Kit is a set of 6 springs that support the washer’s outer tub and keep it stable during the cleaning cycle, including when loads are unbalanced. Each spring measures approximately 7-1/2" L. You'll release the tabs from the top of the washer and remove the front panel from the machine to access the old springs. You can remove all of the springs from the front of the washer, but, you can also remove the back panel of the appliance for easier access. Apply a small amount of grease to the bottom of the new springs before you reconnect them to the washer tub. Replacing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the washing machine and novice repair experience. You must unplug the washer or shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance before installing this part. Also make sure you turn off the hot and cold water supplies. Helpful Tip: We also recommend using affresh® Washing Machine Cleaner* (item W10501250) once a month to help reduce odor-causing residue that can build up in your washing machine's drain without proper care. *affresh® brand products are owned and distributed by Whirlpool Corporation.
