The Washer/Dryer Idler Pulley Assembly includes the idler arm and the idler pulley that maintains tension on the drive belt, allowing the belt to turn. This part is designed to be used with select washer/dryer brands, including Whirlpool®, Kenmore®, Maytag® and Crosley®; check to see if your model number is compatible. Replacing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the washer and novice repair experience. You must unplug the washing machine or shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance before installing this part. Also make sure you turn off the hot and cold water supplies.
