Description

The Top Load Washer Pump Belt is located between the motor pulley and the pump pulley, driving the pump in your washer. If your washer does not spin or drain water properly, replacing this part may alleviate these issues. You'll need to remove the front panel of your washing machine to access the old belt using a Phillips screwdriver. When tipping the washer back to access the belt, be sure to support the appliance with a piece of wood so it remains steady. Replacing this part will require basic hand tools such as a multi-screwdriver, some disassembly of the appliance, and novice repair experience. Before replacing this part, remember to unplug the appliance or shut off the house circuit breaker for safety. Also, make sure you turn off the hot and cold water supplies. Helpful Tip: We also recommend using affresh® Washing Machine Cleaner* (item W10501250) once a month to help reduce odor-causing residue that can build up in your washing machine's drain without proper care. *affresh® brand products are owned and distributed by Whirlpool Corporation.
