Description

The French Door Refrigerator Water Inlet Valve allows water to enter the refrigerator’s water dispenser and ice maker. If one of the solenoids in the original unit is bad, it will prevent water from flowing into the ice maker and dispenser. If the icemaker of your appliance stops making ice, no water flows from the dispenser, or it flows constantly, or if you notice water at the bottom of the fresh food compartment, the water inlet valve could be malfunctioning and need to be replaced. Easy to install with basic hand tools like a flat-blade screwdriver, minor disassembly of the refrigerator, and novice repair experience. You must unplug the refrigerator or shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance before installing this replacement part. Also, turn off the refrigerator’s water supply before you begin. Helpful Tip: We do not recommend disassembling your appliance’s current water inlet valve to clean it due to the risk of failure after the repair.
