This SxS Refrigerator Defrost Timer manages the automatic defrost cycle in your appliance’s freezer compartment. If the timer isn’t advancing like it should or triggering your freezer to enter defrost mode, replacing it may alleviate these issues. Turn the dial on the timer clockwise to advance it into and out of defrost. Note that this part does not include the defrost timer knob. Replacing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the appliance and novice repair experience. To ensure safety, remember to unplug the appliance or turn off the house circuit breaker for the appliance prior to installing this replacement part.
