The SxS Refrigerator Ice Container stores ice in the freezer compartment for dispensing. This part is designed to be used with several refrigerator brands, including Whirlpool®, Kenmore®, Amana®, and Maytag®; check to see if your model number is compatible. When removing the ice maker container, be sure to lift the ice shut-off arm. Please note that this ice container does not include parts for the auger. Installing this accessory will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the refrigerator, and novice repair experience. You must unplug the refrigerator or shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance before installing this part. Also, turn off the refrigerator's water supply before you begin.
