Description

The Dryer Heating Element Wire Connector may need replacement if your dryer takes too long to dry clothes or if it no longer produces heat. To begin this repair, pull the dryer away from the wall to access the back panel and remove the 9 screws holding it in place. Detach the wire from the heating block terminal and use wire cutters to cut off the end of the wire near the terminal, then remove about 1/4" of insulation from the wire end. Connect the new wire with the new nut to the existing wire. This high-quality and durable kit includes (1) wire with terminal, (1) wire nut, and (2) wire connectors. Replacing this part requires basic hand tools such as a 1/4" nut driver, wire splicing tool, and wire cutters. It also involves some disassembly of the dryer and requires novice repair experience. Before installing this replacement part, remember to unplug the appliance or shut off the house circuit breaker to ensure safety. Recommended Item: Wire Splicing Tool (8-1/4") - This stripper specializes in stripping and cutting wire. The tool is designed with a lean nose for pulling and looping wire and is equipped with precision-ground cutters.
