This Dishwasher Door Latch and Handle Assembly is an easy-to-install, one-piece unit used to open and securely close compatible Whirlpool brand dishwashers. This high-quality door latch is only available in black; the white and biscuit colors have been discontinued. If the door of your appliance isn't opening or closing properly, replacing this part may alleviate the issue. The door latch and handle assembly is installed at the top of the dishwasher door, keeping the door closed while the machine is running. Replacing this part will require basic hand tools such as a Torque 20 screwdriver, some disassembly of the dishwasher, and novice repair experience. Before installing this part, remember to unplug the appliance or shut off the house circuit breaker to ensure safety.
