This Dishwasher Drain Hose carries drain water from the dishwasher to the drain. This hose also includes the check valve, which prevents water from flowing back into the tub. This part is designed to be used with several major dishwasher brands, including Whirlpool®, Kenmore®, KitchenAid® and Roper®; check to see if your model number is compatible. Replacing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the dishwasher and novice repair experience. You must unplug the dishwasher or shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance before installing this part. You must also turn off the water supply underneath the sink before installation.
