The Refrigerator Auger Motor powers the arm inside the ice bucket assembly, allowing ice to flow freely from the dispenser in the front of the appliance. This part is designed to be used with several major refrigerator brands, including Whirlpool®, Kenmore®, JennAir® and Maytag®; check to see if your model number is compatible. Replacing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the refrigerator and novice repair experience. You must unplug the refrigerator or shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance before installing this part. Also turn off the refrigerator's water supply before you begin.
